Sunday in Quebec

Today, we are calling an audible.   We're changing our plans since we covered so much ground yesterday.   We are going to drive to two sites north of Quebec, Montmorency Falls and the Basilica of St. Anne de Baptist.

Montmorency Falls is a large waterfall about 7.5 miles from the old city.  The falls are at the mouth of the Montmorency River as it drops into the St. Laurence River.  The area surrounding it is a park with lovely scenery.

There are lots of different viewing points to see the falls, but my favorite is the Zipline.  We'll see whether Ida is brave enough!   At the top of the falls there is a suspension bridge that you can walk across as well.

The Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré is a basilica set along the Saint Lawrence River in QuebecCanada, 30 kilometres (19 mi) east of Quebec City. It has been credited by the Catholic Church with many miracles of curing the sick and disabled. It is an important Catholic sanctuary, which receives about a half-million pilgrims each year.

More later.
